Shannon Ray is a fitness model and internet personality from the United States of America. She’s the mother of Sommer Ray, a fitness superstar known for her amazing body.

Although she’s in her 50s, Shannon still works out hard in the gym – looking stronger and leaner than ever. As a former bodybuilding competitor, she’s got all the ‘tips and tricks’ needed to maintain her toned figure.

But above all, Shannon is a dedicated and hardworking individual. Her discipline and consistency are what has allowed her to stay in incredible shape to this day.

With her lifelong passion for bodybuilding and fitness, and her amazing physique, Shannon stands as a testament that age really is just a number.

Training

Shannon Ray works out similarly to her daughter Sommer, focusing on her lower body and abs during her training.

She enjoys training at a higher rep range, somewhere between 12-16. This helps her achieve the muscle pump, along with improving her overall tone.

In regards to cardio, Shannon doesn’t do much of it. Instead, she sticks to a healthy and balanced meal plan which allows her to stay in great shape year-round.

Nutrition

As a former fitness competitor, Shannon knows the importance of diet in maintaining a lean physique.

During her competitive days, she mainly ate lean proteins, healthy fats, and lots of fruits and vegetables. In regards to carbs, she limited them to a minimum.

Nowadays, however, Shannon’s diet looks a lot different. She still eats mostly healthy and clean foods, but she’s less restrictive with her overall diet.

If she feels a strong craving, Shannon will treat herself to something tasty and will enjoy it without any regret.

“Every once in a while, we bump into a roadblock in life, and we have to decide if we are going to go around it or jump over it or push through it…

Sometimes we sit in front of it for days months or years thinking how to get to the other side. I like to crash through mine spending hours at the gym figuring out the best plan to make it through.”

Idols and Influences

Shannon and her daughter Sommer both influence each other on their fitness journey.

Initially, Shannon introduced her daughter Sommer to the fitness lifestyle – showing her how to train and diet correctly.

Over the years, they both started influencing and motivating each other to become the best they can be.

Shannon Ray has been training hard in the gym for years, and is still going strong. With no signs of stopping, there’s much more to see and hear from Shannon.
