Pia Muehlenbeck is a social media and fitness celebrity, nutrition author, entrepreneur, and fashion designer. Pia’s Early Life
Born in Reutlingen Germany in 1991, Pia Muehlenbeck wasn’t a typical girl growing up. While most girls her age played with dolls, Pia was more inclined towards activities commonly linked with boys.
When she was eight years old, Pia emigrated to Queensland Australia together with her family. During her first few months in Australia, Pia was presented with numerous challenges, including having to learn a new language and having no friends.
Luckily, Pia was able to adapt to her new environment relatively quickly – mastering the new language in under a year.
Becoming a Lawyer
Throughout the years, Pia went on to become an exemplary student. She graduated from high school at the top of her class, which saw her earn a full scholarship to Bond University to study law.
It was at this point Pia began developing a strong passion for becoming a lawyer. As a result, she went on to finish her law degree with top honors in her class, subsequently securing herself a junior lawyer job.
Taking a U-Turn
While she worked as a lawyer, Pia was often contacted by modeling agencies who offered her numerous jobs. However, she didn’t accept any of the offers, as she was fully focused on her corporate job.
But then one day, this all began to change. Pia soon began to realize she wasn’t truly happy with her job, as she said; “I grew up living a very outdoorsy lifestyle in Queensland, and when I got my first job in a corporate law firm, I realized I was getting to work before the sun came up and arriving back home well after the sun had gone down. And it dawned on me that if I continued down this corporate path, I might never see daylight again!”
Eventually, Pia decided enough was enough. She went on to leave the corporate world to make a ‘leap of faith’ into the modeling industry. Ever since then, she’s never looked back.
Becoming a Successful Model
The biggest challenge Pia faced in the early stages of her modeling career was staying lean for photo shoots. Having no previous knowledge of nutrition, she began researching the topic thoroughly.
Over time, Pia overcame this challenge. She soon learned everything there is about a healthy diet, allowing her to sculpt a lean figure.
“I became much more interested in the health and fitness side of the industry, it intrigued me. I just love knowing that we are in charge of our own appearance, and with the right knowledge we can completely overhaul our bodies and look the way we want to look.”
With the progress of Pia’s knowledge in fitness, also came progress in her modeling career. Soon, Pia became sought-after by high-profile agencies who wanted to work with her.
This, in turn, opened up numerous opportunities for Pia – allowing her to make a name for herself within the fitness and modeling industry.
Pia Muehlenbeck Today
In 2014, Pia began posting pictures of her life on social media. Her awesome pictures and videos quickly attracted the attention of an immense number of people.
Ever since then, Pia grew to her status to become a social media celebrity, fitness model, as well as fitness company owner. Today, her goal is to help as many people as possible turn their biggest dreams into reality – just like she did.
Pia Muehlenbeck’s Workout Routine
Pia likes to mix her training regimen up often. She says, it keeps her, as well as her body from getting bored with the same routine.“I try to keep my exercise regime really varied to make it interesting and exciting,” says Pia.
Ever day, Pia does between 30-45 minutes of cardio. This is typically a HIIT (high-intensity interval training) cardio such as jogging, sprinting, kettlebell swinging, etc. Every now and again, Pia will change her cardio routine to do something less intense. Such as taking a dance class in hip-hop or body jam.
Along with cardio, Pia also does yoga and pilates up to three times per week. The other three days are dedicated to her workouts in the gym, where she typically trains with light weights or does only bodyweight circuits.
Pia trains different body each day. Here’s how it looks;

- 2nd day: Abs and Obliques
Pia Muehlenbeck’s Diet
Pia likes to plan her meals in advance. This way, she saves herself the‘trouble’ of eating something unhealthy when she’s out. As she says: “If I’m out and about and I get hungry, I’ll just eat something to satisfy the craving but it won’t be doing me any favors.”
In Pia’s opinion, diet is the most important part of any fitness plan. For this reason, she follows a strict diet which allows her to stay lean and fit year-round. Her macros are:
- High Protein
- Low Carb
- Moderate Fat (only healthy fats such as nuts, olive oil, etc.)
On Sundays, Pia will take a break from her hard work in the gym, as well as the kitchen – rewarding herself with a ‘cheat meal.’
After she’s done with her yoga or cardio in the morning, Pia will have her first meal of the day. To avoid monotony, she has several different meal variations for breakfast. Her two favorites are banana and peanut smoothie, or egg and salmon stack.
The ingredients for her egg and salmon stack meal are the following:
- 1 poached egg
- 1 slice of smoked salmon
- Handful of fresh baby spinach
- 1/2 Avocado
- A bit of lemon juice
As for Pia’s banana and peanut smoothie, the ingredients are:
- Greek Yogurt, 1 tablespoon
- Protein Powder, 1 scoop
- 1 Small Banana
- Natural Peanut Butter, 1 tablespoon
- Some coconut water
Pia has lunch at around 1 P.M. Here she’ll opt for a lean source of protein like fish or chicken, along with a vegetable salad.
It’s a simple meal, full of protein and fiber which help Pia stay lean and fit.
“One fun thing I like to make is lettuce wraps with chicken, tomato, cucumber, hummus and paprika powder.”
Pia has dinner relatively early in the day, somewhere around 6:30 P.M. Her favorite foods for dinner include:
- Steamed Fish
- Sweet Potatoes
- Asian Greens
- Vegetable Soup
In between her meal, Pia will have snacks to keep herself satiated as well as to hit her daily protein goal.
Her ‘go-to’ snacks are carrot sticks with hummus, fruit, or Brazil nuts.
Occasionally, Pia will reward herself with a slightly more caloric snack option. Such as apple slices with almond butter and a drizzle of honey on top.
Idols and Influences
Pia is inspired by other women who, just like herself, set challenging goals and do whatever it takes to reach them. As Pia says:
