Stanimal De Longeaux

Professional Bodybuilder

Stanimal De Longeaux is an IFBB Pro bodybuilder originally from France, but now residing in Los Angeles. During his early bodybuilding career, Stanimal was a Men’s Physique competitor. However, as his physique developed, Stanimal switched over to Classic Physique, where he’s been competing ever since.

Growing up as a sporty child, Stanimal saw his body transform after he started training with weights. Initially, he worked out in his bedroom with nothing but a bench and some weights. He’d train hard every evening after a long day of work, making no excuses.

After joining the gym, Stanimal’s physique began to grow even further. It was around this time that he became interested in bodybuilding competitions. One thing led to another, and Stanimal claimed 3rd place in his debut show.

Two shows later, he’d turned Pro and started competing in contests across America. Proud but always looking to achieve more, Stanimal continues to inspire others with his work ethic and thirst for winning new trophies.

This is his story:

Biography

A Lack of Free Time

Stanimal De Longeaux played many sports as a child. However, as he grew older, Stanimal’s responsibilities started to ‘pile up.’ Having to study for school, along with playing a team sport and working at a side job was too much for Stanimal to keep up with.

In his own words; “There came a time where I couldn’t keep up with the team practice and game, school and my side job.” However, despite the lack of free time, Stanimal was determined not to leave his passion for physical activity behind.

Therefore, he decided to create his own small gym at home, where he could train. He bought a small bench and some weights and put them in his bedroom. He trained there every night after work.

Serious Muscle Gains

After one year of consistent training, Stanimal began to notice progress in his body. It was at this point he decided to step things up by joining a local gym.

With new equipment at his disposal, Stanimal was now able to train much harder than before. This paid off over time, as he began to see major progress in his muscles.

Competitive Beginnings

Although he loved to improve his body, Stanimal didn’t initially consider competing in bodybuilding. However, as the summer came closer and he was getting leaner, Stanimal began to receive suggestions from his friends to enter a physique competition.

As more and more people encouraged him, Stanimal decided to give it a shot. He joined his first competition and subsequently finished in third place. Impressed by the result, he decided to try his luck one more time, and he took 3rd once again.

Turning Pro

After his second show, Stanimal traveled to the USA for a vacation. As chance would have it, he was presented with an opportunity to compete in another show while on the vacation. Since he was already in an awesome shape from previous contests, he decided to give it one more shot.

He ended up taking 2nd place and meeting a sponsor who sent him to compete at the Arnold Classic. Stanimal extended his stay in America for Arnold Classic, went to the event and won the show – earning his Pro Card in the process.

Living His Dream

Ever since winning the Pro Card, Stanimal has seen his career soar. He’s now living the life of his dreams, saying;

“I’ve been very fortunate to meet the right people at the right time. Jay Cutler, Mark Anthony, David Bourlet and my coach Kirk Chittick are some of the key people that helped me get where I am today.

Also, shout out to my friend Ruby Brown who “adopted” me for a few months and my love Chloe who’s been by my side since then.” – Stanimal De Longeaux

Stanimal’s Top Three Exercises

Stanimal loves hitting multiple muscle groups with a single exercise. For this reason, his favorite exercises are leg press, dumbbell rows, and incline dumbbell press. Here’s why these exercises are Stanimal’s favorites;

  • Leg press – Stanimal prefers leg press over any other leg exercise when it comes to growing his lower body. This is because leg press allows him to keep constant tension on his legs without putting any stress on his abdominals and making them thicker.
  • Dumbbell Rows – Stanimal believes this exercise is great for building both thickness and width in his back. If he could only choose one exercise for his lats, it would be dumbbell rows.
  • Incline Dumbbell Press – Since Stanimal considers the upper chest to be the most important part of any man’s pecs, his favorite lift for this body part is incline dumbbell press, which works exactly on that area.

Cardio

Stanimal is a fan of the slow and steady-paced cardio on a treadmill.

According to him, this is the best form of cardio for “sparing the muscles when you’re already lean and don’t want to burn them.”

Nutrition

Stanimal De Longeaux eats six to seven meals per day. As a fan of carb & calorie cycling, he’ll have more carbs on the days that he trains heavy, and less carbs on his ‘light training’ days.

His protein intake, on the other hand, stays the same. “I also go by the mirror, if I’m flat I’ll have carbs, if I’m very full I’ll just have some fats,” says Stanimal.

Supplement Stack

Here are the supplements Stanimal uses;

  • BCAAs
  • Pre-workout
  • Creatine
  • Multivitamin
  • Digestive Enzymes
  • Glucosamine

Idols and Influences

Stanimal credits  Jay Cutler, David Bourlet, and Mark Anthony as people who influenced him on his bodybuilding journey.

He also mentions his coach, Kirk Chittick, as someone who helped him to sculpt a physique worthy of a bodybuilding trophy.

Lastly, Stanimal says his friend Ruby Brown was another person who was always supportive of his journey and helped him get to where he’s today.

THIS is the guy to watch out for. I promise you, he will be VERY competetive. He is generous with his time to respond to comments. He resembles the most aesthetic bodybuilders the sport has ever seen:. Zane, Reeves, Paris, Labrada. I also predict that he will do well in movies
