Elizabeth Zaks may be a huge fitness fan today, but her life didn’t always revolve around lifting weights. Born in the U.S., but of Russian descent, she wasn’t interested in fitness growing up. However, one day, her partner at the time suggested she should go to the gym with him. Elizabeth thought “why not” and decided to give it a try.
It didn’t take her long to become addicted to the feeling of working out. After a couple of training sessions, Elizabeth started going to the gym 5-7 times per week.
As her progress increased, Elizabeth was spurred on to share her amazement with other people online – hoping to inspire other girls to lift weights and look awesome. Within months, her fan base grew, allowing her to start a career as a fitness model.
Fast forward to now, Elizabeth is a sponsored athlete and fitness icon with fans from all around the globe. Although she’d never planned on becoming the person she is today, one simple decision to join the gym has completely turned Elizabeth’s life around – and she’s never looked back.
High Volume Training
Elizabeth’s workouts revolve around high-volume training. This includes doing many sets and reps to maximally fatigue her muscles. She’s found that this yields the best results in terms of toning and strengthening her muscles.
It’s clear to see that Elizabeth’s favorite muscle groups include abs and glutes. To achieve her trademark look, she keeps the reps high and goes for the ‘burn’, which she believes is essential for keeping her lower body firm. She also keeps a short rest between sets. Training this way burns many calories, allowing Elizabeth to stay lean without doing cardio.
Abs and Diet
Elizabeth’s physique is not just the result of her hard workouts. A lot of credit also goes to her strict and carefully planned diet. She eats a lot of protein throughout the day to maintain strong muscles, along with carbs and healthy fats to fuel her workouts.
